Making sure that you are well-prepared for your procedure is important to ensure the best possible outcomes. Your South Denver GI provider will provide you with detailed instructions regarding how you can prepare for your specific procedure or test. This may include avoiding eating or drinking for a specified amount of time, clearing out the colon using laxatives prior to a colonoscopy or temporarily stopping certain medications.

The Day of Your Procedure

When you arrive at one of our endoscopy centers for your procedure, please be sure to bring the following documents with you:

• Medical history form (filled out within 30 days of your appointment)
• Insurance card
• Photo ID
• A copy of your living will, advanced directive or medical power of attorney
