SOUTH DENVER GASTROENTEROLOGY, P.C.

In-person Crohn’s & Colitis support groups return to South Denver GI
in Denver

In partnership with the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, South Denver GI is excited to bring back in-person Crohn’s and Colitis support groups at our Lone Tree clinic.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a term that refers to Crohn’s and Colitis—two conditions that impact more than 1.6 million Americans. These lifelong conditions are frequently associated with disease flare-ups that can affect overall quality of life. Support groups provide a relaxed forum for patients to ask questions to clinical experts and engage with others about their experience with the disease. Caregivers and family members can also attend these sessions.

The first in-person support group will take place Tuesday, Aug. 15 at our Lone Tree clinic. It will be led by South Denver GI physician and leading IBD expert, Dr. Matt Nichols.

Since 2007, Dr. Nichols has served as the physician facilitator for the South Metro Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Support Group. A variety of topics are discussed in this free support group, including medications, nutrition and alternative and emerging therapies.

We hope you’ll join us on Aug. 15! Free parking is available in front of the Aspen Building. To RSVP, contact Kevin Parker at 303-507-6375 or kevin.parker.cpa@gmail.com.
